Marin Raceway, where he became the first driver to win the track championship and Rookie of the
Year in the same season. In 18 main events, Mayhew won eight times and recorded 14 top-three
finishes.
- Finished third in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series Sunbelt Region behind National
Champion Greg Pursley and David Beat.
- 2003 - Compete in his first stock car race in Late Model Division at Bakersfield's Mesa Marin

event, placing second.
